Day 01: Beijing
Arrive at Beijing, welcome reception at the airport and transfer to Hotel. Rest of the day is free on your own.
Day 02: Beijing
Full day visit to Badaling great wall to have a leisurely stroll at some of its 5000kms. PM visit to Forbidden city. Overnight four star hotel. |
Day 03: Beijing / Lanzhou by Flight
Morning flight to Lanzhou, after check in to hotel, have a easy walk along the Yellow river bank, visit to Baitashan hill park. Overnight at Jinjiang Sun Hotel.

Day 04: Lanzhou
Drive to Liu jia xia reservoir, visit Bing ling caves, lunch at Linxia Muslim towns. After check in to the Gengzang Hotel at Xiahe, visit to the Xiahe Tibetan village nearby the hotel. Overnight Gengzang Hotel.
Day 05: Lanzhou / Tongren (178Kms)
AM visit to the Labrang monastery, PM drive to Tongren city in Qinghai provice (178kms mountain road). Overnight Dianxin hotel or similar. |

Day 06: Tongren / Xining by Bus
AM visit to Longwu Monastery, Tibetan Buddhist art Institute where they make Tang Ka, see the Tibetan Rebkong art etc. PM drive to Xining, the capital of Qinghai province through Xunhua Sala Muslim town. Overnight Qinghai Hotel or similar. |

Day 07: Xining / Zhangye by Car
Visit to the Ta’er Monastery (Kumbum), then drive to north to Zhangye over the Qilian mountains. Overnight at Zhangye Hotel.
Day 08: Zhangye / Jiayuguan
Visit to the Grand Buddha temple, drive to Jiayuguan. Overnight Jiayuguan Hotel. |
Day 09: Jiayuguan / Dunhuang by Car
AM visit to the Fort and the edge of the Great wall, PM drive to Dunhuang along the express highway (400kms). Overnight and dinner at Hotel Dunhuang.
Day 10: Dunhuang
AM visit to the World heritage site Mogao grottoes, PM visit to Mingsha sand hills to have a camel ride to crescent moon lake. |
Day 11: Dunhuang / Mang’ai
Full day drive to Mang’ai (Huatugou) along the northern edge of Chaidam basin in Qinghai provice. Overnight at Oil field Hotel.
Day 12: Mang’ai / Charkilik by Car
Drive further to the west to Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region. Arrive at Charkilik (Ruo qiang) through famous archilogical site Miran. Overnight at Loulan Hotel. |
Day 13: Charkilik / Cherchen
Drive to Cherchen (Qie mo) along the south edge of Taklamakan desert. It is not a long drive today on the good paved road but we may have some short walks over the sand dunes and among the desert poplars. Stop at some small villages en route also can be a part of our tour today.
Day 14: Cherchen / Khotan (700kms)
It is long drive today up to Khotan (700kms) with en route lunch stop at Niya (Minfeng) |

Check in to Zhejiang Hotel or similar. |
Day 15: Khotan / Yarkand by Bus
AM visit to family craftsmanship at Khotan for carpet, Silk etc. Sunday Market of Khotan. PM drive to Yarkand (330kms). Overnight at Queen Hotel.
Day 16: Yarkand / Kashgar
Morning visit to Mausoleum of Queen Amannisa Khan and Royal cemetery of Yarkand Kingdom. After lunch, drive to Kashgar. Overnight at Yambu Hotel.
Day 17: Kashgar
Today our main objective is the legendary Kashgar Sunday Bazaar where each Sunday the country comes to town at the colorful covered Bazaar as villagers and towns people mix to trade, barter and buy. In the afternoon we visit historic Eidkah Mosque, built in 1442 and still China's largest mosque. Mausoleum of Abakhoja, a venerated Sufi leader lived in 17th century. old streets hidden behind the main roads
Day 18: Kashgar / Urumqi by Air
Morning flight to Urumqi, PM visit to the Xinjiang ethnography Museum, Baiyuyuan carpet and handcraft shops. Erdaoqiao Grand bazaar. Overnight at World Plaza Hotel. |

Day 19: Urumqi / Turpan by Car
A day trip to Turpan (200kms one way, express highway), visit to the Emin minaret, Underground irrigation system of Turpan Karez Wells and ruins of Jiaohe ancient city under the protection of UNESCO. Back to Urumqi for dinner and overnight.
Day 20: Departure
Morning flight to Beijing (arrives at 13:30) and connect flight back home. |
