Qing Dynasty¡¯s mummified corpse discovered in Xinjiang
¡¡This photo (as picture 01) , taken on Tuesday, January 6, 2009, shows a mummified corpse that dates back to Qing Dynasty. It was found recently in Turpan region in northwest China¡¯s Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region. Construction workers excavated a total of five male mummies the day before. The excavation site has been cordoned off for protection
¡¡One of the five such mummified corpses (as picture 02) is 1.7-meter tall and has a long pigtail. He wears cotton padded jacket and trousers.
