Dear Abdullah and MirAlim Emir, To start with the conclusion: we have had a great trip!! Annelies and I would like to thank the two of you for the very well organised and most interesting, beautiful holiday we had. MirAlim, Auro and Sharleen were very knowledgable, professional and friendly guides in China. We learned a lot about "normal" life apart from what was planned in the tour. We found Yussaf sometimes a bit irritating. Maybe because he was fasting during the Ramadan or he just doesn't like to be with women. Very good that we got our visa for Kyrgistan and that you managed to get us on a public holiday past the border, thank you Abdullah. The guide in Kyrchistan, Talent, was not bad but he did not know about the arrangments. So we paid for our lunch and dinner and the second day the driver dropped us around noon in Osh and left. A bit strange so we had to hire a taxi to move around in Osh. in Uzbekistan we again had a great guide:Kamol. Professional and pleasant: a good guy! We don't have any complaints regarding the hotels, just fine and sometimes very good!. All in all we had a great time.Thank you and we will for sure recommend your company to friends and colleagues. Je tiens à vous remercier de nouveau pour l'organisme parfait de notre tournée Route de la Soie.
Notre voyage en Chine a été un grand succès, grâce à vos efforts pour répondre à nos souhaits, mais aussi par la combinaison de la Chine et le Xinjiang. Je suis sûr que notre voyage en Chine ne serait pas un tel succès sans voir le Xinjiang. Bien sûr nous avons bénéficié de l'armée en terre cuite et la promenade sur la Grande Muraille, ainsi que la promenade à travers la belle vallée Tuyuk et les grottes des Mille Bouddha, accessible par le biais d'un extraordinaire paysage magnifique.

Nous avons juste senti comme le vieux aventuriers lorsque notre promenade par les petites rues et places de marché dans les villages autour du désert Taklamakan, où nous avons eu beaucoup de contacts avec la population locale.
Notre Route de la Soie a été tournée une sublime expérience et le goût de plus. La seule chose qui reste est un superbe lot de bons souvenirs, des centaines de photos et 9 heures de film.

We last saw each other in the exceptional new fallen snow in Tourugat Pass in mid July. We are now back home with all our good memories. We like to express our gratitude towards you for excellent assistance and guiding throughout our 10 days touring all Xinjiang and even to your excellent driver mr Ho. We can recommend you and your company for a well planned and organized tour with excellent logsitics towards our needed partners in Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan.

Please do tell if you like some photos from different local markets etc.
Hope your marriage plans are succeding and that you sooner or later can see the real ocean together with your upcoming wife not only the few rest of waters we discovered south of Turpan on the predictet second lowest part of the world.
Hope to use your services again. Perhaps we should go together from Beijing through Xian and Lhasa back to Everest Camp together?

Dear Silk Road Adventures
We are back in US right now and still trying to recover from jet lag and get back to normal lives. And that's proving difficult after all the fun and excitement we've experienced in China.
We'll like to take this opportunity to thank Silk Road Adventures for organizing and planning the trip. It has been a wonderful experience for us, a right mix of cultural exposure and adventure. When we first started planning for this trip, we have many

worries. We worried about the efficiency and honesty of the people (we heard many horror stories of guides extorting / bribing money from tourists etc.); we were worried about the cleanliness of the food; we were worried about state of the accommodation, but all these to naught. We were met at the airports / train stations as detailed in our itinerary, our guides bargained for better prices for us when we were purchasing items at places where language is a barrier; food was sumptious and none of us got sick because of it; in fact, when they realized we wish to taste local food, the guides went out all the way to prepare food they think we'll enjoy and the hotels were clean and service was pleasant. Overall, it was a thoroughly pleasant experience.
All our guides have been wonderful and accommodating to all our various needs and went out of their way to ensure our comfort and enjoyment, for example, our guide in Lanzhou guide, Megan, who took us to a Tibetian festival that's not on the itinerary. They share with us, not only factoids about tourist sights we are visiting, but also gave us an insight about life in China and shared their personal thoughts and feelings. They treated us not just as clients, but as friends and we really appreciated that. It is people like them who we meet along the way that makes the trip so special.
We will be glad to recommend your company to others who are considering
a journey along the ancient Silk Road. We are still in the process of compiling our photos for the trip and will share these with you once they are done. Many thanks for this wonderful trip.

Cher Toursun, Notre visite a Yapqan c'est tres bien passee, et Mohamed Youssef, votre agent, est tres sympathique et serviable. Yapqan est une excellente adresse et les gens ont ete tres accueillants et tres curieux aussi au sujet de la camera. Nous n'arrivions pas a quitter ce lieu... La nuit avant de partir a Yapqan, je pensai qu'il valait mieux rester dans le Sud plus longtemps et faire plus de choses ici cette annee, au lieu de remonter sur Turfan que l'on pourrait visiter en 2009. Nous avons imagine un treck chamelier, dans un payasage fort pour l'image, et j'ai demande a Youssef s'il etait possible de faire cela tres pres de Rawaq pour pouvoir filmer le passage d'une mini caravane a cote de la stupa de cette ville ancienne. Pour ceci il nous faudrait 7 jolis chameaux et des chameliers, pendant deux nuits et trois jours si cela est suffisant. Merci de nous tenir informe de la suite de ce projet. J'espere que nous aurons facilement Internet a Yarkand et Khotan. Bien cordialement, Gilles

Hello,
I recently took a bicycle tour of Xinjiang with your company. Mohammed Ali was the guide. I thoroughly enjoyed the trip, and Mohammed was an excellent guide. Mohammed was very skilled, excellent at solving problems that arose, and a very interesting person to talk with. He was very knowledgeable, so I was able to learn a lot. Learning about the history and customs of an area and people make a trip much more interesting than just seeing the sights.

Again, I enjoyed the trip and hope to take another one at some point.

Par cette lettre, je tiens à exprimer toute ma satisfaction pour l'excellent service offert nous lors de notre dernière visite du Xinjiang en Septembre 2007. En outre, le rapport coût-efficacité de la tournée a été vraiment remarquable.
Voici la liste des hôtels que nous avons utilisées au cours de notre visite. Ils ont tous été OK, car j'ai demandé 3 étoiles standard, et vous offrir plutôt un niveau plus élevé. La notation va de 1 (très mauvais) à 10 (excellent).

Tashkurgan-Pamir Hotel, bonne (7); Kashgar - World Plasa Hôtel Yambu, excellent en aucune manière (10); Aksu - lnternational Hôtel, de très bonne qualité (9); Kucha - cuisine administration, de très bonne qualité (8); Turpan - Grand hôtel Turpan, de très bonne qualité (9); Dunhuang – Silk Road hôtel, confortable, propre et tranquille petit hôtel (ce qui est vraiment le niveau des hôtels, j'ai eu l'origine à l'esprit!), (8); Lanzhou -- Sun Hotel, excellent en aucune manière (10)

De la position du point le guide (s), voici les commentaires du groupe: Mohemmed tous: bon guide, intelligente, dynamique, flexible, mais son anglais doit être améliorée. Olando à Dunhuang: guide pauvres en aucune manière, son anglais est totalement insuffisant. Jiang Bin (Roy) à Lanzhou, excellent guide, intelligente, dynamique, flexible, et avec un bon anglais.
J'espère avoir d'autres contacts avec vous, jusqu'à ce que les recevoir au nom de l'ensemble de mon groupe.
