TRAVEL ROUTE

Xinjiang, China : Urumqi / Turpan
Uzbekistan:       Samarkand / Shahirsabz / Bukhara / Khiva / Tashkent

TRIP ITINERARY

Day 01 to Urumqi :

Arrive at Urumqi, transfer to Hotel Hoitak. Visit to Xinjiang Museum if time permits. Dinner at Restaurant with folk dance show.

Day 02 to Tashkent

Breakfast at Hotel. Drive to airport to get the flight to Tashkent, early am arrival at Tashkent, transfer to Hotel Tashkent palace, afternoon visit to Square, Charsu Bazaar and Kukuldash Madrassah. Dinner at Local Cafeteria.

Day 03 to Samarkand

Breakfast at Hotel. Drive to Samarkand (350kms) through the Syr derya region. On arrival, check into Afrosiyab hotel. Late pm visit to Gur Emir Mausoleum located at the opposite of the hotel. Lunch en route, dinner at Hotel.

Day 04 to Samarkand

Full day visit to Registan Square, Bibi Khanim mosque, Shahi Zinda, Observatory of Ulugbek. Lunch at a local Restaurant and dinner at Hotel.

Day 05 to Bukhara

Full day drive to Bukhara with en route lunch stop and visit at Shahirsabz city. Visit to Aksarai, Mausoleum of Kok Gumbaz, Gumbazi Sayidon, Hazrati Imam Mosque and Mausoleum of Djahanger. Arrive at Bukhara by late afternoon, check into hotel Omar Hayyam.

Day 06 to Bukhara

Breakfast at Hotel. Full day visit to sites of Labi Hauze complex, Ancient silk market, Ulugbek Madrassah, Kalyan minaret and PM visit to Bolo hauze Mosque, Ark fortress with historical museum. Lunch at local Restaurant and dinner at the local Chayhana (tea house) by the Labi Hauze (by the pond).

Day 07 to Khina

Full day drive to Khiva along the Kizil Kum desert on the east and Amu river on the west. Arrive at Khiva by late afternoon, check in to Hotel Malika or similar (Asia Hotel is also can be a good option). Dinner at Hotel. Guide will lead you into old town if you want to explore it before the formal visit by tomorrow.

Day 08 to Tashkent by flight & and Urumqi

Breakfast at hotel. Visit to old city of Khiva and see sites as Ark Fortress, Kalte munar minaret, Tash Holy palace and Bazaars, Madrassah Feruz, Mausoleum of Pahlivan Mahmud etc. Lunch at the Restaurant in the old city, dinner at Hotel or at Urgench airport. Take the late evening flight to Tashkent. Flight arrives at Tashkent around 23:30, take simple hotel room just for shower and a short rest for maximum three hours then drive to airport to get the morning flight to Urumqi departs at 06:30.

Day 09 to Urumqi & Drive to Turpan

Arrive at Urumqi around 11:00am by Beijing time (09:00am Urumqi time), directly drive to Turpan (200kms). Check in to Hotel, after lunch visit to ruins of Gaochang ancient city, Bezaklik Buddha caves, Tuyuq valley. Lunch at Hotel, dinner at Garden Restaurant.

Day 10 to Turpan

Breakfast at hotel, am visit to ruins of Jiaohe ancient city, Emin minaret, underground irrigation system of Turpan Karez wells. After lunch, drive back to Urumqi. Check into Hotel Hoitak (5 star). Farewell dinner at Hotel.

Day 11 Departure

Breakfast at Hotel then transfer to airport to depart.
